Introduction
Welcome to stamp puncher (“we”, “our”, or “us”). stamp puncher is a creative utility iOS app that transforms photos into customizable digital stamps. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when and with whom we share it, your rights, and how to contact us. By using stamp puncher you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Data Controller

1. Information We Collect
We collect information necessary to provide the features of the app, manage subscriptions, and operate and improve our services.
- Photos and media
- Images and media files you import into the app via the iOS photo picker (PhotosUI).
- If you choose to save edited images to your device photo library, we will request the relevant permission; we do not access your photo library unless you explicitly grant permission via the iOS picker.
- Financial and purchase information
- Transaction receipts and subscription status (provided by Apple’s StoreKit) so we can verify and manage subscriptions and entitlements.
- We do NOT collect or store your credit card or Apple ID payment credentials — all payments are processed by Apple.
- Account and usage information
- Device type, OS version, app version, crash reports and diagnostics, feature usage, and basic telemetry needed to operate and improve the app (only if you opt in to such diagnostics).
- In-app settings and preferences (e.g., notebook appearance, stamp arrangements).
- Derived or created information
- Generated stamp files, edits, and other user-created content (your “stamps”).
- Metadata related to your stamps and usage (e.g., creation date, file size).
- Minimum personally identifiable information (if provided)
- If you contact support or otherwise provide contact info, we may store your name, email address, and any information you provide in that communication.
What we do not collect (unless you choose to provide it): health data, precise location, biometric identifiers, or other special category data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide and operate the app
- Enable image import, editing, stamp generation, saving and sharing features.
- Manage and verify subscription entitlements through StoreKit.
- To maintain and improve the app
- diagnose and fix technical issues, analyze feature usage, and improve performance and user experience.
- To communicate with you
- Respond to support requests, send transactional messages (e.g., purchase confirmations), and inform you about important changes to the app or policy.
- For security and legal compliance
- Prevent, detect, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and legal claims.
- For personalization and automation
- Apply automatic image transformations (e.g., emboss/deboss, perforation effect) and provide previews. These operations are used to produce the stamp output; they are not used for profiling you outside the app’s creative features.
- Aggregate and anonymized data
- We may create aggregated or de-identified data for analytics or research; such data cannot be reasonably used to identify you.
We will only use your personal information for purposes consistent with those for which it was collected or authorized.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as described below and only to the extent necessary.
- Service providers and partners
- Apple’s PhotosUI: used to allow image selection; Apple’s StoreKit: used for processing in-app purchases and subscriptions. Please review Apple’s privacy practices for additional information about how Apple may handle data.
- Legal and safety reasons
- We may disclose information to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests from public authorities, or to protect our rights, property, safety, or users.
- Business transfers
- If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected users where required by law.
- With your consent
- If you explicitly request or authorize sharing (for example, exporting an image to a third-party service or sharing a stamp via another app), we will share only the information necessary to complete your request.
Third-party services have their own privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of Apple and any other third parties involved in the functionality you use.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to:
- Provide you with the app’s features (e.g., store your created stamps and settings).
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, or reporting obligations.
- Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Typical retention periods:
- User-created stamps and in-app content: retained until you delete them or terminate your account; we may retain backups for a limited period (e.g., up to 12 months) after deletion to prevent accidental loss.
- Transaction receipts and purchase records: retained for business and legal purposes for as long as needed to verify purchases and comply with applicable laws.
- Diagnostics and crash logs: retained for a limited period for debugging and improvement purposes.
If you request deletion, we will delete your personal information unless we are required to retain certain records for legal or legitimate business reasons. If data cannot be fully deleted (for technical or legal reasons), we will inform you about the scope and timing of retained data.
5. Security Measures
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect your information:
- Transport security (HTTPS/TLS) for data in transit.
- Secure storage practices and access controls to limit employee and contractor access to personal data on a need-to-know basis.
- Regular software security reviews and updates.
While we strive to use reasonable safeguards, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. If a security incident affects your information, we will take appropriate steps and notify you and regulators as required by law.
6. Children's Privacy
stamp puncher is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or higher age if required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under applicable minimum age without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information. 7. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA Compliant)

GDPR (European Economic Area / UK residents)
- Right of access: request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

- Right to deletion: request deletion of personal information we maintain about you, subject to certain exceptions.

Authorized agents
- For CCPA requests submitted by an authorized agent, we require written authorization from the consumer and verification of identity.
No sale/sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising
- We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Do Not Track
- Our app does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. On mobile devices, platform-level tracking preferences (such as Apple’s App Tracking Transparency) will apply where relevant.
8. AI / Automated Processing Disclosure
stamp puncher uses automated image-processing functionality to provide the app’s core features:
- Nature of processing
- The app automatically analyzes and transforms images to create stamp effects (perforated edges, emboss/deboss, cropping to a fixed aspect ratio).
- These processes are automated image transformations and are performed to generate the creative outputs you request.
- Location of processing
- By default, image processing is performed on-device where possible to maximize privacy and performance. If we ever provide optional cloud-based processing or other advanced processing that involves sending images to our servers, you will be informed and asked to consent prior to any upload.
- Purpose and effects
- Automated processing is used solely to produce the visual output you request. These processes are not used to make legal or similarly significant decisions about you, nor are they used to profile you in ways that affect your legal status.
- Explainability
- The effects applied (e.g., amount of embossing, perforation style) are controlled by app settings and user choices; preview thumbnails and undo options are provided so you can review results.
- Human oversight
- You can always modify, remove, or re-generate outputs and contact support if you have questions about the automated processing results.
If we change how automated processing is performed (e.g., new cloud-based AI features) we will update this policy and obtain any required consents.
9. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions
stamp puncher offers a freemium model with optional subscription tiers that unlock premium features.
- StoreKit & payments
- Payments and subscriptions are processed exclusively through Apple’s App Store / StoreKit. We do not collect or store your credit card or Apple payment credentials.
- Auto-renewal
- Subscriptions typically auto-renew unless cancelled. Renewal and billing are handled by Apple using your Apple ID.
- Managing and cancelling subscriptions
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings. For instructions on viewing, changing, or cancelling subscriptions, please consult Apple’s support documentation.
- Free trials and promotional offers
- Any free trial or promotional offer is governed by the terms shown at the time of purchase. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription may automatically convert to a paid subscription.
- Restoring purchases
- If you reinstall the app or change devices, use the app’s “Restore Purchases” feature to reinstate your entitlements via StoreKit.
- Refunds
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their refund policies. Please contact Apple Support for refund requests.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy with a new “Last Updated” date and, where required, provide a notice in the app. Continued use of the app after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
